Nona Hux

Nona Lee Hux, age 86, of Fulton, Missouri died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at her home.

Nona was born July 19, 1923, in Fortworth, Texas, the daughter of the late C. Orville and Margaret (Pettit) Boone. She married Melvin Hux on June 7, 1942. He preceded her in death and now Melvin and Nona are together in Heaven.

Nona is survived by two sons, M. Thurman Hux Jr. and W. David Hux, both of Fulton, Missouri; two daughters, Diana Bang of Greenville, Ohio and Connie Coleman of Fulton, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren, Donna Winters, Debbie Clubb, Derek Hux, Erin Bolyard, Delores Fox, Meredith Carey, Hayley Hux, W. David Coleman , all of Fulton, Missouri, Sallie Humphrey and Bessie Boese, both of Mokane, Missouri, Matt Hux of Columbia, Missouri, Rebecca Chaney, Meagan Carey, Mark Hux and Zach Carey, all of Texas, Jason Bang of Ohio and Jennie Haguewood of West Virginia; 24 great-grandchildren.

Nona and her husband, Melvin, moved their family from Fortworth, Texas to Fulton in 1964. They were founding members of the Fulton Church of Christ.

Funeral services are at 11:00am, Friday, October 23, 2009 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Visitation on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00pm, October 22, 2009, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Callaway Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions can be made to Fairhaven Children's Home in Stafford, Missouri.
