B. F. Branson Dies - B. F. Branson aged about seventy-seven years, died Tuesday night at his home near Brinktown after a long illness. He was first married to Paralee Duncan and to this union were born a daughter, Mrs. Sallie Misel, and a son, Jared, both of whom reside near Brinktown. After the death of the first Mrs. Branson, he was united to Miss Ellen Hughes and three children, Byron of Bridgeport, Nebraska; Remus, of Roseburg, Ore.; and Miss Stella Branson of St. Louis, were born of this marriage. Mr. Branson's second wife preceded him in death many years ago. All five children and four grandchildren survive him.

Mr. Branson entered public life at an early age and had served his county in a number of positions of trust, including that of presiding and associate justice of the county court and assessor. He was known by every man, woman and child in Maries county, and he enjoyed his wide acquaintance as few men do. He was a past master of Vienna lodge Number, 94, A. F. and A. M., and was a member of Dixon lodge, Number 95, R. A. M., of the Council and Commandery at Rolla and of the Shrine at Springfield. Funeral services will be held Sunday at the Branson church and burial made in the Bumpass cemetery. [From FAG contributor, Carolyn Boroughf #47325532]
