MRS. WARREN B. SMITH DIES AT 85; CHURCH SERVICES SLATED
Mrs. Warren B. Smith, 85, the former Lola Newcomb of 324 Elm St., Ripon, died at 2:35 a.m. today at Ripon Municipal Hospital, Ripon, after an illness of several days.
Born at Brush Creek July 17, 1880, she was the daughter of William F. and Emma Osborne Newcomb. She was educated at Northwestern University, lived in Chicago and for the last 54 years in Ripon. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Eastern Star and American Association of University Women. She was married July 1, 1903, to Warren B. Smith, who preceded her in death in 1961.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Martha S. Smith, Hinsdale, Ill.; one son, Arthur J. Smith, San Carlos, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Kneeland, Garden Grove, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Rev. Robert J. C. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton, N. Y. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon.
