Ed C. Corbitt Dies In Texas
Ed C. Corbitt, Houston, Tex., a former resident of El Reno, died Tuesday in Houston following a brief illness.
Mr. Corbitt was born June 26, 1886, at Grange Hall, Tex., and came to El Reno in 1927, making his home here until Iast fall. He was a retired brick mason and cement finisher.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clarence White, Salem, Ore., and Mrs. Leslie T. Kennedy, Oklahoma City; a son, Junior Corbitt, California; two brothers, Elmer Corbitt, Texas City, Tex., and Jess Corbitt, Athens, Tex.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wiison funeral home chapel with the Rev. Melvin Hoffman, pastor of the Southside Baptist mission, officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno cemetery under direction of Wilson funeral home.
