Mr. Don Gerken, age 64 of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 14, 2005 in McKinney. He was born on November 12, 1941 in Evanston, Illinois to Wilfred and Lucille Gerken. He graduated from Southern Illinois University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. On March 1, 1998, he married Carla Barnett in Plano, TX. Don was of the Lutheran faith and was a Civil Engineer with Hanscomb, Faitful and Gould Construction Company. Survivors include his wife, Carla Gerken of McKinney, TX; son, Christopher Gerken of Chicago, IL; brother, Jim Gerken of Chicago, IL; and numerous other loving friends and relatives. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, November 17, 2005, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, TX. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
