Clarissa W. Metzger, 93, formerly of Altoona, died Weds., Jan. 12, 2011 at Valley View Home. She was born in Altoona to Louis A. & Margaret A. (Long) Seidel. She was twice married, first to Bruce Melvin Horton on April 8, 1942 and he died May 11, 1963. She then married Ralph E. Metzger on Sept. 6, 1980 and died Aug. 30, 1983. Survived by sister, Margaret Seidel; 5 nieces; a nephew; and gr. nieces and gr. nephews. Predeceased by brother, Louis W. 'Bud' Seidel in 1979. Clarissa was a member of First United Church of Christ, Altoona. She retired from Food Services at the Hollidaysburg State Hospital in 1978 after 13 years of service and previously was employed for 20 years by Kinney Shoes. Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Altoona. Interment, Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
