Stephen Lloyd Bailey passed away quietly on January 9, 2011. Steve graduated from Shades Valley High School and attended the University of Montevallo and the University of Alabama. Upon graduating, Steve was an educator of young minds. He was an Assistant Principal at Trussville Elementary School and the Principal of Mulga, Hueytown and Crumly Chapel Elementary Schools. He was a devoted member of the Sigma Social Club (Theta Sigma Chi) at the University of Montevallo. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Stephen L. and Gladys T. Bailey. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mibi L. Bailey. He was an avid outdoorsman and a loyal friend. Visitation with the family and services were held at Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL, on January 13, 2011. Steve's Sigma Brother Bill Gresham delivered a powerful tribute, and his Brothers Blake Earnest, Bill Cobb, and Andy Meginniss sang beautifully to honor their Brother. Interment followed at Acton Memorial Cemetery in Altadena Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the Bruce D. Hidgon Brotherhood Fund at the University of Montevallo.
