Born in Wayne Township, Eliza was the daughter of James Concannon (1805-1883) and Sarah Morgan (1808-1867). She married around 1865 Lemuel Robinson Wright (1835-1899), son of Joseph Yard Wright (1788-1850) and Tabitha Evans (1799-1890), and together they had the following children:

- Joseph C. Wright (1866-Before 1880)
- Martha F. Wright (1869-Before 1880)
- Almeda E. "Meda" (Wright) Stone (1875-1955)

By 1870 the family had migrated westward into Kansas. During the second half of that decade, they continued westward to California, first settling in Indian Valley, Colusa County, and finally in the Santa Clara and Monterey Counties.
