BLOOMINGTON — Donald A. Hart, 72, Bloomington, formerly of LeRoy, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 11, 2011) at ManorCare in Normal.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in LeRoy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to

Alice Hart.

Donald was born on Nov. 19, 1938, in LeRoy, to Orval and Opal Cooper Hart. Don was educated in LeRoy schools, graduating in 1956. He spent his years working as a mechanic, most recently at Dennison Ford, where he worked for 25 years before his retirement. Don went to work at Wal-Mart where he became a familiar friendly face to shoppers.

Don is survived by his wife, Alice Coit Hart, Bloomington; stepsons, Dan (Christy) Coit, DeWitt, and Mike (Donna) Coit, Towanda; daughters, Lori, Patty and Stephanie, and son Stephen; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Carl (Suzy) Hart, Shelbyville, and Carol (John) Heafer, St. John's, Fla.; and sister-in-law, Joann Hart.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene Hart.
