Mancel Paul Skipworth, age 86, of Killen, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Center Star Church of Christ. The service will be at 1 p.m. at the church, with Brother Bill Lyons and Brother Danny Pettus officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Jason Skipworth, Andy Skipworth, Nicholas Woods, John Skipworth, Corey Scott and Steve Grider.
Mr. Skipworth was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Myrick Skipworth; parents, Paul and Ethel Skipworth; brother, Glen Skipworth; and son-in-law, Tim Woods.
He was a member and past deacon of Center Star Church of Christ. He was retired with TVA and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Signa Belue Skipworth; children, Larry Skipworth (Wanda) and Beverly Woods; stepson, Hegan Belue (Eve); brother, J.W. Skipworth (Mavoline); six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank his caregivers during his illness at home.
