Jim Dean Lowe, 62 of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away August 16, 2008 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Jim was born to Oliver and Edith (Bright) Lowe February 9, 1946 in Cushing, Oklahoma. On June 7, 1968 Jim married Sharon Mayfield in Cleveland, they have lived in Hominy 30 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Barnsdall. Jim worked for Claude's Grocery for years, then Marvin's Grocery until he became to ill to work. Jim mowed for several Hominy residents and loved mowing.

Jim is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; eight brothers and sisters- Bill Lowe of Sand Springs, Oliver Lowe Jr., of Des Moines, Iowa, Estey Jackson of Tulsa, Robert Lowe of Lenexa, Kansas, Shirley Johnson of Cleveland, Dorothy Rowen of Ponca City, Sharon Davidson of Owasso and Donnie Lowe of Broken Arrow; Jay Thompson whom they raised for 8 years and great nephew Keaton Hogue, and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers- Jack and Roy Lowe.

Services were Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Hominy with Rev. Carl Brown, Rev. Phil Clements and Rev. Kenny Christian officiating. CD selections were "The Old Rugged Cross", "Knowing you'll Be There" and "God Be With You Until We Meet Again." Casket bearers were Chance Hogue, Richard Hogue, Jay Thompson, Donnie Lowe, Billy Lowe, David Gritts and honorary casket bearers Bobby Cross and the Hominy EMS workers. Burial will be in the A.J. Powell Cemetery.

The family entrusted Powell Funeral Home with the arrangements.
