On February 25, 1890 she was united in marriage to James Aldred, whom had been her childhood schoolmate.
To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive her, with the exception of one son Ben, who preceded her in death.
Her children helped to make her home happy and complete. Mother was always ready to help plan things for the pleasure of her children, and her grandchildren were the ideal of her life and she was always glad to have them at all times.
In the year 1895 she united with the Methodist church, which has been the church of her choice through life. In 1906 she joined the Rebekah Lodge of Vevay, of which she has always remained a member.
Besides her husband, she is survived by six children namely, Mrs. David Heath(Mary), Mrs. Chas. Haskell(Leo), Mrs. Raymond Lester(Mallie), Alfred and James, all of near Vevay, and Wilbur of Patriot.
Also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Charles Krall and Mrs. Lon Bales of Vevay, Mrs. Clara Aldred of Cincinnati, Fred Miles of Detroit and John Miles of Illinois. She also leaves nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
