1st wife: Grace Maude Bailey Boner, died in 1911 of tuberculosis.
They had two children: Marjorie Elizabeth Boner Bledsoe and John Richard "Dick" Boner.
2nd wife: Jessie Leon Evans Boner.
John and Jessie ran the Ozarks Hotel and restaurant in Bolivar, MO until their deaths, a year apart.
