Mrs. Alice Neathery, 252 North Franklin street, died at 12:30 o'clock Monday morning In Parkers Prairie, Minn., where she was visiting her daughter Mrs. M. A. Swenson. She was sixty-eight years old last August. Her death was caused by typhoid fever. Mrs. Neathery was born In Mildenburg county, Ky., Aug. 4, 1854, but came to Illinois when she was fourteen years old. She and William Neathery were married in Greenville April 7, 1875. She had made her
home in Decatur since 1905. She had been a member of the Baptist church for fifty years, and was also a member of the Woman's Relief Corps. She is survived by the following
children: Mrs. M. A. Swenson of Parkers Prairie, Minn., Mrs.I. N. Fansler of Farmingdale, Del. Mrs. Leatie Hammond of Decatur, J. L. Neathery of Springfield, and her step-sons, W. C. Neathery of Decatur and W. A. Neathery of Taylorville. She also leaves her sisters, Rose and Ollie McPherson of St. Louis, Mrs. John Crockett of Columbus, O., and Mrs. James Edwards of Hillsboro. The body will be brought to Decatur and taken to Dawson & Wikoff undertaking establishment.
