Marion Virginia Phye, daughter of Tilden & Mary Susan (Millard) Mayberry was born June 10, 1919 in Duquoin, Kansas. She passed away Wednesday May 29, 2007 in Wesley Medical Center in Wichita at the age of 87 years.
On March 19, 1939, Marion was united in marriage to Jesse "Buck' Phye in Harper and this union was blessed with the birth of twin sons, Larry & Gary Phye.
The family made their home on a farm east of Harper, where Buck and Marion raised their family and worked together on the farm.
Marion was a member of the Harper United Methodist Church. She liked to garden and was an accomplished artist. She loved to read and liked to put together puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband "Buck", her parents,
Sisters, Mina Mayberry, Mildred Bear, & Betty Downey, & brothers, Chalcie & Emmett Mayberry.
She will be missed by her sons, Larry Phye and his wife, Ranee of Conway Springs, Gary Phye and his wife, Connie of Ames, Iowa, Her Grandchildren, Tammi Davis and her husband Lloyd, of Dodge City, Bryant Phye and his wife Vanessa of Overland Park Ks. Julie Phye and companion Lauri Smith of Iowa City, Iowa, and Five Great Grandchildren.
