Mr. Milton Wolford, a native of this county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Morris, of Louisville, Sunday night, July 21st. He was 83 years old, and a member of the Baptist church. He was a soldier in the Civil war and a fine old man. The remains were brought Monday to the home of Mr. John White, of Ozark, and the funeral was conducted by Rev. H.J. Conover, Tuesday morning. Burial was in the family graveyard. Beside Mrs. Morris, he leaves several children by a former marriage.

George held the rank of Corporal in the 13th KY Cavalry Co. K during the Civil War. He also served as Sheriff of Adair County and presided over the last two hangings in the county.
