Deceased Name: BUSCHJOST Norbert Henry Buschjost
BUSCHJOST Norbert Henry Buschjost, 83, of St Elizabeth, died Monday, May 19, 2008, at St Elizabeth Care Center. He was born May 26, 1924, in St Thomas, the son of Joseph and Catherine Jungensmeyer Buschjost. He was united in marriage on September 22, 1948, in St Elizabeth to Lorraine Josephine Kemna, who preceded him in death on January 16, 2001. Norbert was employed in the Maintenance Dept. with St Marys Health Center for 10 years, retiring in 1989. He worked for 23 ½ years for Emil Oligschlaeger as a truck driver. He also worked for N.O. Nelson Co. and Capital Supply for a combined seven years. He was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church in St Elizabeth. Norbert enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Leon and Rita Buschjost, Holts Summit, Daniel Buschjost, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Jason Buschjost, Jodie Earney, Jennifer Buschjost, Greg Buschjost; and four great-grandchildren, Todd and Carli Buschjost, and Christopher and Dawson Earney. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters, Ann Gibson and Salome Schulte; and two brothers, John Buschjost and Tony Buschjost. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at St Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis D. Stuart, OSB officiating. Burial will be in St Lawrence Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday at the St Elizabeth Community Center with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at the St Elizabeth Community Center. Memorials are suggested to the St Lawrence Catholic Cemetery Fund.
