Gussie Jane Moses of McMinn County, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, at Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah. She was a native of Monroe County. She was a member of First Church of God in Englewood.
She was 90.
Preceded in death by: husband, the Rev. Lloyd Moses; parents, John and Mary Ann Torbett Land; son, Hubert Moses.
Survivors include: Five sons and three daughters-in-law-Harl and Daisy Moses, Ernest and Mae Moses, Kinerd Moses, Roy and Evelyn Moses, all of Englewood; and Larry Moses of Athens;
Three daughters and son-in-law-Mary Alice and Olen Hafley, Anna Ruth Hill, all of Sweetwater; and Emma Sue McKee of Spencer;
16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;
Brother-Frank Land of Oregon;
Sisters-Gracie Huskey of Greenback; Maggie Casteel of Athens; and Pearl Graves of Oregon;
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Revs. Will Hughes and Norvell Peak officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at New Bethel Church of God Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Bord-wine Funeral Home, Etowah, in charge of arrangements.
