John P. Chir, 90, Of Munhall, died Saturday, January 8, 2011. He was born August 4, 1920, in Duquesne, son of the late John and Anna Chir and beloved husband of the late Margaret (Fetsko) Chir. John was a retired supervisor for U.S. Steel Duquesne Works, a veteran of the Army, serving during World War II and an original member of the Duquesne Zemps Baseball Team and played in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league baseball organization.
