She graduated from Lewiston High School and married her high school sweetheart, Adrien (Red) Laverdiere, after his return from military service in WWII. After having raised their three children, she worked as an accounting clerk at Central Maine Community College (formally CMVTI) and retired in 1988, after 20 years of service. They resided in New Auburn where she was active in the New Auburn Seniors Association and served as President. She was also a member of the New Auburn Seniors Bowling League and served as Treasurer and President.
At the age of 82, she won the Maine State Candlepin Bowling Association championship for senior women singles. In addition to bowling, she enjoyed traveling, attending area community theater and music productions, quiet walks by the ocean and time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years; three brothers, Robert, Gerard, and Fernande Roberge; three sisters, Lucinda (Emile) Bousquet, Anita (Oscar) Samson, and Lorette (Gerard) Laliberte.
She is survived by her son, Richard LaVerdiere and his wife, Lisa, of St. Paul, Minnesota; two daughters, Pauline Blair and her husband, Alric, of Lewiston, and Claire Beaulieu and her husband, Bruce, of Sabattus; four grandchildren, Carey Loukides and her husband, Jeff, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Christopher LaVerdiere and his wife, Vickie, of Tacoma, Washington, Michel LaVerdiere and his wife, Lora, of Monroe, Washington, and Cherie Karman and her husband, Matt, of Saco; two step-great grandchildren, Tristan and Tyler Loukides; her sister, Priscille Roy, of Auburn and many nephews and nieces.
