MISSOULA - Clara Elenora (Stromberg) Olsen Lindberg passed away Oct. 2, 2008, at St. Patrick Hospital, of natural causes.
She was born Sept. 29, 1924, as the fourth child of seven to Oscar and Marie Stromberg. She was baptized and confirmed at Nathanael Lutheran Church of Dagmar, where she was a lifetime member. She attended Richwine Grade School and graduated from Medicine Lake High School in 1942.
She married James "Jimmy" R. Olsen on March 21, 1943, and they made their home on the farm near Dagmar, where they raised three children. Jimmy passed away in 1974 and she moved to Plentywood.
In 1975, she married Ronald Lindberg. They moved to Billings in 1993 and to Missoula in 2007.
She enjoyed playing cards, painting and other hobbies.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James; her parents; and brothers, George, Earl, Clifford and Edwin and her sister Vivian.
Survivors include her second husband, Ronald Lindberg; one sister, Metha Olsen of Sidney; three children, Geraldine Ponto of Nye, Ronald Olsen of Big Fork and Bonnie Aicher of Missoula; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was at Garden City Funeral Home & Crematory. A celebration of her life and memorial service will be planned for in the spring, with interment of her ashes at Nathanael Lutheran Church Cemetery at Dagmar.
The family suggests memorials to Nathanael Lutheran Church, 823 Nathanael Road, Dagmar, MT 59258.
