Elma Caroline Anderson Pugmire, age 85, died March 12, 1991 in West Valley City, Utah.

Born August 31, 1905 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Frederick Charles and Isabella Torrie Anderson. Oldest of eight children. Married Edward Abner Anderson, Sr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he preceded her in death. Married Liffon Christie Pugmire; he preceded her in death. She has led an active life in the floral industry since she was 15 years old. She is an active member in the LDS Church, holding many positions in Mutual and Relief Society. She is also an active member of the DUP. Past president and lifetime member of the Rose Society. Worked for Western Garden Center for the last 43 years.

Survived by four daughters, Mrs. Phil (LaVerne) Birdsall; Mrs. Robert (Jeannine) Turner; Mrs. Donald (Betty) Ross; Ingrid Pacheco; stepson, Weldon Pugmire; stepdaughter, Ruth Wall; one sister, Cora Peterson; 19 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sons, Edward Jr. and Richard M.; one granddaughter; three sisters; three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. at the West Valley 2nd Ward, 2820 West 3590 South. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Friday at the church, 1-1:40 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
