James H. Thompson, known as Jamie and "Jimbo" by his family and friends, was born in Manning, SC, on July 19, 1965. He was a son of Brenda Ruth Johnson Thompson and William R. Thompson Jr. He died at Richland Memorial Hospital (now Palmetto Richland) from injuries sustained in a firearm accident while he was fishing with a friend on Friday afternoon, March 30, 1984.
Jamie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played baseball for Manning High School. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew. He is missed dearly by his family.
