He met his future wife, Felda, when he was playing basketball for his little country school and Felda was a "cheerleader" at her school in Servia, Indiana.
They married July 26, 1921 in Centreville, St. Joseph Co., Michigan and began their life together in Mishawaka, Indiana.
They lived in Mishawaka for about 30 years. Both worked at Ball Band, a large footwear company. They also owned and operated a small diner in Mishawaka called the Chat N Nibble.
They had two children: Aris Jeanne Watts and Max Verdon Watts. After Jeanne died in 1942 they adopted an 8-year old girl.
Ozra and Felda moved West in 1955/1956. The lived in Clifton Colorado before settling in Albuquerque. Here Ozra continued working as a handyman in construction before retiring.
When Felda ended up in a nursing home Ozra made the decision to join her where they shared a room. It was not a surprise that they died within 6 months of each other.
Note: It is unlikely there is an official obituary for Ozra but I'll try to find one.
