Age 85, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012. She is survived by son, Ron Kotschwar and wife, Gloria of Albuquerque; son, Bruce Kotschwar of Manzano; grandchildren, Jeff and wife, Tanya, Maggie and husband, Justin, Ty, Krystl and husband, Brian, and Brianne; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Elizabeth; sisters, Leona Greenlee, Beverly Johnson and Willa Mortimore; and brother, Chuck Arent. Edna was preceded in death by her loving husband, August Kotschwar; parents, Fred and Elizabeth Arent; and grandchild, Tracey Diane. Edna was a loving and caring mother--a hero to her sons, who she raised for the most part on her own, with her husband traveling for his job. She was a good cook, quilted, did ceramics, gardening and loved her chickens. A celebration of Edna's life will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park - Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with visitation one hour prior from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Entombment will take place immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edna's memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at donate.michaeljfox.org.
