Maximiliano A. Sanchez, 66, a lifelong resident of New Mexico died Saturday in Albuquerque. He is survived by his sons, Max R. Sanchez, James L. Sanchez and Raymond L. Sanchez, all of Albuquerque, Richard D. Sanchez of Reston, Virginia and Howard D. Sanchez of Albuquerque; daughters, Virginia Mazek of Albuquerque, and Susan Dufore of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Tony Sanchez of Albuquerque, Alfonso Sanchez of Denver, Colorado, Nestor Sanchez and Herman Sanchez, both of Albuquerque; sisters, Mary Crespin of Oakland, California, Josephine Hernandez, Ruth Campos, and Rita Gilbert, all of Albuquerque; he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Eric Sanchez.


He was a carpenter with local 1316, and a member of Saint Edwin Catholic Church. A Christian service will be held this evening at 7:30 in the Chapel in the Garden of French Mortuary, 1111 University NE. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel in the Garden of French Mortuary. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Max R. Sanchez, James L. Sanchez, Raymond L. Sanchez, Richard D. Sanchez, Howard D. Sanchez and Jerry Sanchez.
