Maggie was the daughter of Johanna Harland & William Smithwick, Irish immigrants. She was a wonderful seamstress. Her death certificate states she died of carcinoma of uterus with extension to bowel & bladder. She died at 11:45 pm at Longwood Rest Home in Chicago, IL. Other conditions listed on death certificate: arteriosclerosis, stroke. Original bill of sale for her headstone (in my possession) was $90 from F. W. Koehler Monument Company in New Albany, IN. dated 1934. Her death date was never blown in. Only the 19__. In 1998 I paid $75 to have the __43 added to her death date. (Inflation!) Written by Laura J. Stewart (#47412616), granddaughter.
