Mrs. Edna Elizabeth Edmondson West, age 87, of Temple, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. A native of Carroll County, she was born April 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Mr. Grover Edmondson and the late Mrs. Ida Rilla Stovall Edmondson. She was a longtime devoted member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church in Temple where she served as WMU Director and as a Sunday School Teacher. She retired as a seamstress from Hubbard Pant Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ephrin "E.W." West; sisters, Gladys Edmondson Strickland, Nell Edmondson, Amy Smith, and Era Holland; brothers, Joseph Edmondson, Roy Edmondson, J.E. Edmondson and Hugh Edmondson.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail Nanette and Alton Futch of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Lee and Brenda West of Bowdon; sister-in-law, Harriett Edmondson of Tifton; brother-in-law, G.D. Holland of Rome; 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Wautelet officiating. Interment will follow at New Brooklyn Cemetery in Temple.

Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Inc., Cremation Services and Memorial Gardens of Villa Rica in charge of arrangements.
