Services for Johnnie M. Childers, 54, of Rt. 7, Lufkin, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Clawson Baptist Church. Rev. Kenneth Nichols and Rev. Harold Lee Westbrook will officiate and burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Childrrs died in a local hospital Tuesday night after a brief illness. He was born in Houston County, August 4, 1916 and had lived in Lufkin since 1938, He operated Childers Butane for 20 years and was a director of Woody's Toys, Inc. He was a member of the Clawson Baptist Church.

Survivors: wife, Lillian, sons, Johnny Wayne of Lufkin and Jimmy Ray of Long Binh, Vietnam; brothers, C. C. of Angleton and Sylvan of Lufkin; and sister, Mrs. Jewel Bessem of Dallas; granddaughter, Kelley Joyce Childers.
