Rucker-- At the home of her father in Chelsea township, Tuesday, March 9, 1897, Miss May Rucker, aged 16 years, 9 months, and 28 days. The deceased was born in Lawrence county, Ohio.
The cause of death was consumption, and four other children of the family and their mother, who died about a year ago have succumbed to the same disease. The father and four children are the only remaining members of the family.
The funeral took place from the United Brethren church in Chelsea township, Wednesday afternoon, and was conducted by Rev. O. W. Pifer. The interment was in the Chelsea cemetery.
