William Mac D. Gray has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives under Grady County. He states his enlistment as 1862 in Burke County and served with Company F of Cobb's Legion. He says that at the surrender he was actually in Burke County, by permission of his officers, rounding up deserters. He started back to the war and received word of the surrender.
