-- The funeral for Mr. James Dean Sinclair will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Barron Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Porter will officiate and burial will follow in Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Sinclair, 82, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Rock Hill Health Care Center.

Born in Lancaster on Dec. 22, 1925, he was a son of the late Lee Nelson Sinclair and Stella Snipes Sinclair. A U.S. Navy veteran during World War II, Mr. Sinclair received four Bronze Stars, an Armed Services Medal and a National Defense Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Stephenson Sinclair; a daughter, Kay Eagle of Chester; a son, Chuck Sinclair and his wife, Faith, of Rolesville, N.C.; three grandsons, Major Bret Eagle of El Paso and Jared and Joshua Sinclair, both of Nashville; and a special niece, Joyce Weatherly of Chester.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester.
