Elmer Daniel, b 4 March 1882, d 15 April 1961 married Alma Irene Black, b 24 July 1884, d 9 Dec. 1944. She and Elmer had known each other all during their childhood, but it wasn't until he was hurt in an accident that they became seriously interested in each other. Elmer, age 19, was going home in a wagon when a tree fell, pinning him beneath it. He was carried to the Ben Black home for treatment. During his illness, Alma visited him frequently. They married 20 Aug. 1904, having a double wedding with Elmer's brother, Charles, and Edna Gray. Alma and Elmer lived at Lanely, farming and creating a happy home for their 6 children, Delmer, Stephen, Abbie, Carl Lee, Agnes & Gladys. Their eldest daughter, Delmer, b 22 July 1905, m. Acie C. Nevills, a farmer at Lanely, and had 2 sons, Elmer Luther and Acie Troy.

Gladys Mable Daniel, b 10 Aug. 1920, m/1 Jack Thomas and had a daughter, Jackie Louise. She m/2 John C. Gardner and had 7 children: Robert (Bobby)Carlton, Daphne Ann(O'Neal),Ronald Glen, Wendell Gayle, Dennis Wayne, Terry Lynn, and Bonnie Marie (Schmittendorf).
