Similarly, John's date of death is probably June 1839, but documentation for that is also elusive.
He may be buried in Eastridge Fairview Cemetery in Taswell, Crawford, Indiana ... or ...
He is likely buried in Highfill Chapel Cemetery, just north of Taswell, which has the greatest number of Belcher descendants buried there. Possibly Taswell cemetery , but Highfill is older. It has a large open area on the west side which is the original graveyard. Stephen Tuttle (researcher and descendant) has found a few broken stones buried just under the ground but sticking out. The few he could make out were for children of the 5 sons of John Belcher. Hence, this may be the best location for his and Martha's remains, as well as their sons James, John Jr. and Berry.
Son Joseph is buried in Calhoun County, Illinois and Jesse may be in either Daviess or Crawford County, Indiana.
