ALGOOD – Funeral services for Blonnie Pippin Phy, 78, of Algood will be held tomorrow (June 27) at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dyer funeral Home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mrs. Phy died Saturday (June 25) in Cookeville General Hospital.
Born March 12, 1910, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Cain and Alice McCellan Pippin.
Mrs. Phy was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Her family includes two sons, Virgil Lewis Neal of Grodonsville and William L. "Bill" Neal of Cookeville;
three daughters, Velma Mai Ruth Baggot, of Brownsville, Frances DeCheyne of West Memphis Arkansas and Linda Fay Burge of Pinconning, Michigan; one niece, Stella Clemons; one nephew, Bill Dyer; and several other nieces and nephews, 29 grandchildren and 33 greatgrandchildren.
Mrs. Phy was preceded in death by a son, Verble Martin Neal.

Blonnie Florence Pippin also md on the 4th of November 1960, Putnam Co., TN to Barney Lee Madewell, b. 31 March 1894 – d. 26 September 1965, s/o James Madewell (1856-1927) & Arkansas Robinson (1858-1938). Barney Lee Madewell is buried in the Rocky Point Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Putnam Co., TN.
