MRS. DEMA RODEN DIES SATURDAY, RITES ARE SUNDAY
Mr. Dema Roden, 94, Hochatown, died at the home of a son, Charlie Roden, Hochatown, at 3:20 a.m. Saturday following a long illness.
Born January 19, 1857, in Lawrence county, Ark., she had resided at Hochatown for the past 49 years, moving from Arkansas. She was a member of the Baptist church.
She is survived by two sons, Charlie and Wess Roden, both of Hochatown; five daughters, Mrs. A.B. Jacobs and Mrs. Minnie Jacobs, both of Garvin, Mrs. Cora German, Idabel, Mrs. Mollie Eichenlaub, Bloomington, Ill., and Mrs. Milton Wright, Gillham; 31 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hochatown community building with Rev. Forrest Wickes officiating.
Arrangements and burial in Hochatown cemetery were under direction of Wilson funeral home.
