Margaret C. Beavers, 86, died November 21, 2010 at Elm Grove Estates, Hutchinson, with her family by her side. She was born March 24, 1924 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Paul and Anna Wallsten Lindamood. She was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. A resident of South Hutchinson most of her life, she had worked as the payroll clerk for Doskocil Sausage Co. and a bank teller for the Bank of Kansas. She was a member of South Hutchinson Mennonite Church. She married Oscar Beavers on October 1, 1943 in Hutchinson. He died March 29, 1978.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Selby and husband, Bill, Hutchinson, 2 grandchildren, Troy (Hope) Selby, Hutchinson and James (Maeva) Selby, Bentonville, Ark. 5 great grandchildren, Mickaela, Matt, Tristan, Trey, and Dakota Selby, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Love.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jeremy Patterson presiding. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 9AM-9PM Wednesday and 9AM to service time on Friday, at the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 6PM-8PM Wednesday, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of the funeral home.
