Emma Nehring is born the 12th of 15 kids. She is raised in Buchanan Co., Iowa. She moves to Adams Co., WI about 1919 to help her brother Ed Nehring get established on his farm there. Emma marries Warren Coon in 1920. They farm near Oxford and have 9 kids together, 7 of which grow to maturity. Emma Coon gets cancer about 1947 and dies in 1949 at age 51.
