Turner L. Smeltzer, 86, of Gore died Saturday at Winchester Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church in Gore by the Rev. Beryl Boswell. Burial, with military honors by Winchester VFW Post 2123, will be in Ebenezer Cemetery near Gore.
Mr. Smeltzer was born April 14, 1921, in Rock Enon, son of the late David and Susie Deavers Smeltzer.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a press operator for Abex Corp. for 28 years and worked for Frederick County Sanitation Department for 20 years. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and American Legion Post 137 in Capon Bridge, W.Va.
