Fred Hale Cameron, 74, of Argo died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at his residence.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Horn officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kerry Cameron, Nathan Cameron, Ben Cameron, Jerrod Cameron, Andrew Cameron, Justin Roach, Robby Plowman and Mike Young. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Reynolds, Clyde Parker, Bill Parker, Roy Parker, Jerry Parker and Lowell Parker.

Mr. Cameron was born on May 14, 1935, in Titus County, the son of Lee Olice Cameron and Josie Naomi Churchwell. He was a member of the Argo Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Jean Cameron of Argo; a daughter, Shannon Reynolds of Mount Pleasant; eight sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry and Sharon Cameron, Russell Cameron, Sherrell and Amy Cameron, Clyde Parker, Lowell Parker, Bill Parker and Roy Parker, all of Mount Pleasant, and Jerry Parker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five granddaughters, Amy Roach of Naples and Melissa Monroe of Mount Pleasant, Emily Cameron, Brittany Young and Alyssa Reynolds; six grandsons, Kerry Cameron, Nathan Cameron, Jerrod Cameron, Andrew Cameron, Ben Cameron and Logan Reynolds; and 18 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Paul Cameron, Curtis Cameron and Orville Cameron, all of Mount Pleasant; and two sisters, Freda Sullivan of Texarkana, Ark., and Nadine Holland of Mount Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Hazel Easley and Pauline Wilbanks; and one brother, Doyle Cameron.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home.
