Helen M. Reed, 83, of 1243 N. Fifth St. died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at Parkhill Medical Complex.

Born Sept. 29, 1911, in Peoria to William and Mary Ann Donath Beaumont, she married Nathaniel O. Reed on Feb. 21, 1948. He died Feb. 23, 1989. Five sisters and two stepsisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one stepson, William N. Reed of Chillicothe; one stepgrandson, Jeffrey R. Reed of Peoria; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She owned This 'N That Gift Shop in Chillicothe for 15 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Weber Funeral Home. The Rev. Raymond Harrison will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chillicothe City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Rescue 33 or to George Washington Masonic Lodge 222.
