--Wesley W. Ennis, 87, a retired farmer, died at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday evening at the home of his son, Basil Ennis, of 2 1/2 miles southwest of Akron, after an illness of several months. He had been bedfast since Thursday.
--Born Feb. 23, 1862 in Morgan county, Indiana, he was the son of Paschal and Clarissa (Elkins) Ennis. He had spent most of his life in Miami and Bennetts Switch. For the past three years he made his home with his son.
--In 1885, he married the former Lissie Jane Carnine who preceded him in death in 1945. He was a member of the Filgrim Holiness church at Kokomo.
--Surviving are: two sons, Bert Ennis, of Bennetts Switch, and Basil, with whom he resided; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
--The body was removed to the Thomas funeral home at Galveston where friends may call after noon Thursday. It will be taken to the Bennetts Switch Methodist church at 1 o'clock Friday where it will lie in state for one hour preceding the funeral.
--Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the church with the Rev. D. L. Slaybaugh, of Akron officiating. Burial will be in the Chittick cemetery east of Bennetts Switch.
