My Mom was funny, sweet, smart (even though she never finished school, she spoke the first Shakespeare to me before I even knew who he was),strong, loving; a very religious Christain woman. She would always sing to me that this world is not our home, that we're just passing through; Heaven is our real home. But you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.I know that she always put Lisa and myself before her own needs when we were growing up and that she never refused us anything if she could. She sent us to Catholic school for 10 years, made us attend church always and often (that is still deeply rooted into me although my poor health gets in the way.) See, she never let us know how financailly bad things got sometimes. In fact, she installed in me 2 two very strong passions....my faith in God and my love to read.
I wanted to do something nice for my sweet Irish Mother who laid down her life to have my siblings and me and Lisa and raise us all right, and you did, Mommy. Just some of us did not make it. I Love you, Mother. And I have some really great tattoos in your honor, even though you probably would not approve of tattoos. So, save me a spot, OK?! Now your are my angel. And you were right about everything.
