A former Brookfield/New Boston Resident, Claud Clifford Goddard, 72, died Monday Morning at Columbia Regional Hospital. Services are pending; they will be announced by Louis V. Scudiero and Sons Funeral Home, Bucklin. Mr. Goddard, son of Frank and Barbara May (Christian) Goddard, was born Jan. 25, 1916, in Linn County, near New Boston. Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Clyde H. and Carleta Goddard, New Boston, and Clay E. and Ruby Fern Goddard, Chillicothe; five sisters, Valena (Mrs. William) Heathorn, Lake Madrone, Calif., Viola Wallace, Violet (Mrs. Chester) Krawl and Verna (Mrs. William) Burns, Brookfield, and Vernice (Mrs. Garland) Abel, Royal Oak, Mich., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl and Charles Keith Goddard, and one sister, Vivian Benny. He was a farm employee.
