HUNTING TRIP RESULTS FATALLY FOR JACK THOMAS WEDNESDAY
Jack Thomas of Lanely died in a local sanitarium at 10:30 o’clock Wednesday night as the result of an accident which occurred late Tuesday afternoon near Harrison’s Lake on Keechi Creek when he an W.N. Evans were hunting. The two hunters had sat down to rest and when they arose to proceed, Thomas pulled his gun toward him when the hammer hung and fired the shotgun, the charge of squirrel shot striking him in the abdomen.

Mr. Evans placed him in their car and drove him to Edwards ranch where O. B. Adams and J. R. Adkins brought him to a local sanitarium. The shotgun charge had lodged in the lower left section of the abdomen.

The remains were laid to rest in Dew Cemetery Thursday afternoon.

Survivors are his widow whom he married 10 months ago and several other relatives.
