Robert had taught in state schools for 38 years. He graduated from Dexter College in Dexter, Iowa. He married Elizabeth Thomson in Hewins, Kan., Nov 24, 1904. He was a member of the Masons and the Methodist Church. Survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Hasel Lee: three sons, Bill, Bruce and Alan; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Long; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
