Margaret "Peggy" Ann Marshall Willis of Taft, CA went home to her heavenly Father January 3, 2011 at 07:30 surrounded by friends and family.

Peggy was born in Whittier, California in 1923, the daughter of Walter and Margaret "Madge" Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Bill" E. Willis. Peggy played many roles in her life. She was a daughter, a wife, a mother, a friend and a warrior for Christ. Bill and Peggy were faithful members of the Foursquare church in Taft for more than 60 years. If the church doors were open, Bill and Peggy were in their place in the church. They lived the articles of their faith, showing kindness and compassion for those they met and worshiped with.

Peggy worked for the J.C. Penney store on Center Street until her retirement in 1985.

She loved spending time with family and friends. Her travels took her to Europe and to ports of call in Mexico but wherever she traveled, Taft was always home.

Peggy is survived by her daughter and sons. She is also survived by her brother. Peggy was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She loved them all very much. Peggy also leaves behind a wonderful group of brothers and sisters in Christ. The love and support of Marvie, Pastors Mark and Kathy as well as many other friends is a debt that can never be measured or repaid.

Peggy's life will be celebrated by her friends and family at 1:30 p.m. on January 7, 2011 at the Lighthouse Foursquare Church, 210 Harrison St. in Taft, CA.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Lighthouse Foursquare Church so that they may continue to serve the needs of the community she loved.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
