George worked for General Electric Co. in Erie, retiring in 1988 after 15 years. He formerly owned and operated Lick's Mobil service station in Ripley for 19 years. He also served as work secretary at the YMCA in Erie and Benton Harbor, Mich. He graduated from North East High School and from Allegany State College in 1945. He enjoyed taking vacations to Vermont.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lick; and a sister, Jeanne Lick.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Burgess Lick, whom he married in 1949; a daughter, Susan Chase of Girard; a sister, Mary E. Lick of Middlebury, Vt.; and two grandchildren.
Burial will be private at North East Cemetery.
