Mrs. Mary Luella Trew nee Epler, 60, died in St. Louis 10 May 1911. She was born in Marion, Ohio, 9 February 1851. She came to Macon while a young girl and learned the millinery business. In 1889 she went into business with Mrs. Jessie Davis. In 1885 she was married to Maurice Trew, and assumed the care of four little children, Nora, Frank, Williette and Eva Trew, one daughter, Helen was born to this union. These children, her husband, one brother, Frank Epler of Beardstown, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. Martha McDowell of Seattle, Wash. and Miss Amanda Eppler of Macon survive. In 1910 she established a millinery business of her own in St. Louis for the purpose of giving her children better business opportunities. The remains were returned to Macon and funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church and interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
