David Richard Sinnott Sr., 76, of Junction City, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010.

Born Jan. 27, 1934, in Candleburg, Ind., he was the son of Gilbert Lawrence and Sarah Eva Kidwell Sinnott.

He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Wayne, Mich., and was the owner of Dave's Cycle Shop in both Wayne and Danville. He also served on the Boy Scout Council in Wayne and was a volunteer Boy Scout leader for many years. Dave was currently the custodian and groundskeeper at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Dave was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He joined as a squire when he was very young and rose to be a 4th Degree Knight. David was an avid flower gardener.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Sinnott; four sons, David Sinnott Jr. of Sylvester, Ga., Jeffery Sinnott of Rochelle, Ga., Michael (Vickie) Sinnott of Pine View, Ga., and Thomas (Leslie) Sinnott of Cordele, Ga.; 10 daughters, Debra Barbuzinski of Inkster, Mich., Denise Schultz of Macomb, Mich., Susan (Charles) Turner of Wilmore, Cynthia (Robert) Mares of Phoenix, Ariz., Diane (Scott) Boyd of Junction City, Tina Wright of Grand Prairie, Tex., Kathleen (Terry) Smallwood of Garrard County, Irene (Kerry) Roberson of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Jennifer (Andy) Palmer of Bowling Green and Tammy (Chris) Miller of Hustonville; one brother, Joe (Marianne) Sinnott of Phillips, Wisc.; six sisters, Carol Brown of Brighton, Mich., Judy (Robert) Crooke of Wayne, Mich., Christine Sinnott, Anita Sills of Cordele, Ga., Mary Ann (Louis) New of Cordele, Ga., and Betty Brown of Cordele, Ga.; 58 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Farrell as celebrant. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. prior to the visitation. www.stithfuneralhome.net
